Sony RX100 V Cyber Shot launched in India | SONY INDIA

Sony India announced the new RX100V compact camera, their flagship model under the Cyber Shot RX100 series.
The RX100 V comes with a ‘Fast Hybrid AF’ system that combines phase detection AF and contrast detection AF with ability to lock focus in 0.05 seconds. RX 100 V includes a 1.0-type stacked ExmorRS CMOS sensor that improves processing speeds, expands memory buffer and optimises image quality, according to Sony in a press release.

Covering 65 per cent of the frame, the RX100 V has 315 AF points on sensor, advantageous for capturing rapidly moving random subjects. The addition of a front end LSI, complements the BIONZ X image processing engine and together with the AF allows the camera to shoot continuously at 24fps speeds at full 20.1 MP resolution for up to 150 continuous shots, added the Japanese electronics major.

Additions on the new RX100 V include AF-A mode which permits the camera to automatically switch between continuous and single-shot AF modes. The high speed ‘Anti-Distortion Shutter’ is reported to minimise the “rolling shutter” effect experienced with quick moving objects.

The camera supports 4k video recording, and this camera is able to record ‘super slow motion’ video at up to 40 times slower than standard rate. The Cyber Shot RX 100 V is priced at Rs 79,990 and is available in all Sony Centres, Alpha flagship stores and major electronic stores across India.
